English Language Arts is Reading, Spelling, Writing, and Grammar.

We will work off of a Balanced Literacy approach to Instruction.This includes:Real Aloud (Teacher reading)Shared Reading (Whole group: teacher and students)Guided Reading (Small Groups)Independent Reading with conferencing

We will also use a workshop approach to writing.
Students will have daily mini-lessons on writing skills, and then independently write about whatever they choose. The teacher will conference with the students as well.
